AeroGlow International is delighted to announce that Thales (UK) has placed an order for a modification to replace the HaLO power supply currently fitted to the UK MOD CW 4×4 with a new sealed-for-life ultra capacitor power supply.
The system will be charged from the vehicle ignition, and will offer more than 12 minutes of VELS illumination following loss of vehicle power in the event of blast, roll-over or water ingress. All new AeroGlow HaLO systems are now provided with this capability enhancement, but this vehicle has a legacy system that was powered by primary battery.
Speaking today, Business Development Director Keith White stated: “This is a great improvement in this vehicle’s VELS capability. It negates the necessity to check power and for annual changes of the battery. Given the capacitor pack is sealed for life, it should also offer great value for money. We remain proud to support Thales (UK) and MOD in providing this important safety capability for the CW 4×4.”
